Wood Pelleting Plant - Wood pelleting plant located in the UK with a capacity of up to 2 tph on 6mm softwood pellets. The plant was built in 2017 with new machines. The two pellet presses have only registered about 300hrs and 500hrs respectively. The main machines were manufactured by Radviliskis in Lithuania. The plant comprises of a 37kw hand fed wood chipper that will accept round wood at up to 150mm diameter and flat wood offcuts up to 495mm wide. The infeed conveyor is 3.0 metres long. The raw material is dried logs which pass into the chipper and are then conveyed to a 75kw centre fed hammer mill with a stone trap and built in transportation fan. Wood flour from the hammer mill is blown into primary and secondary cyclone separators with the bulk of the flour passing into a screw conveyor via rotary valves on the cyclone outlets and the dust laden exhaust air passing to a multi bag dust collector. The wood flour conveyor feeds into the base of a live bin which elevates it with an internal vertical screw into the body of the bin. The vertical screw also activates the wood flour to assist discharge. The live bin has level sensors and a working volume of about 5M3. A screw conveyor from the live bin passes to the two pellet presses. The presses have 75kw direct drives, stainless steel conditioners, stainless steel doors, force feeders and auto lubrication units. The first press has a variable speed feeder from the main feed conveyor and the second press is fed directly from the end of the main feed conveyor which also has a variable speed drive. Water can be sprayed into the conditioners to aid pellet formation. Water flow rate is adjustable and metered. Pellets drop from the press outlets into a conveyor which transfers them to a vertical belt and bucket elevator which drops them into a vertical pellet cooler. The cooling air is sucked through the cooler and into a cyclone with a top mounted 11kw fan. The dust laden air passes to a multi bag dust collector and the cyclone discharges fine particles via a rotary valve into the screw conveyor that feeds all the wood flour to the live bin. Pellets pass down through the cooler and onto a vibrating sieve where the fines are removed. The cooler discharge rate can be adjusted and level switches in the top hopper activate the sieve stop/start function. The pellets are lifted by a belt and bucket elevator from the sieve and into a holding bin from where they fall by gravity into big bags that sit on an electronic platform scale. All three control panels are included and also all available manuals, spare parts lists, drawings, circuit diagrams and data sheets. The plant is offered in as seen condition, fully assembled where it sits. A 15M3 bunker/feeder is available for an extra £17,500. This unit has a chain and slat moving bed, an adjustable feed gate and a discharge screw conveyor below the feed gate with a stone trap. This was used for feeding pre dried wood chip to the hammer mill as an alternative to taking material directly from the chipper. (UCPE 6374) Price - £85,000. Packaging - Ausloos complete bagging plant built in 2006 comprising an MTB vertical form fill and seal unit to do around 450 bags per hour depending on product and weighment size. It has an ITN6 filler and an NTE/25 weigher. There is a stainless steel hopper above the unit with a belt and bucket elevator to feed it. Following the form fill and seal unit there are bag conveyors, a Lock Met 30+ in bag metal detector with ejector station and a Garvens E100 check weigher with ejector station. The filled bags are conveyed via a bag flattener to a Europack Winner 400 robot palletiser that can load up to 420 bags/hr. It has a pallet magazine and pallet cover applicator and will handle 1200 x 1000 and 1200 x 800 pallets. Loaded pallets are moved on powered roller track to a Coliwrap WPS92 pallet wrapper and hooder. There is a big bag filling station integrated into the plant using the same pallet roller track. The big bag (FIBC) line comprises a hopper with a belt and bucket elevator feeding it. The hopper feeds the big bags which are weighed and placed on pallets. The bag filler and weigher are Tecnipes model CTE/1500-L. The bag support tower has a bag inflater, a compressed air bag inlet seal and automatic bag support attachment and release. Pallets are then moved away on powered roller track. The plant can fill up to 15 x 1T bags per hour. All available support platforms are included as well as stairs, access ladders, handrails, control panels, cables, cable trays data sheets and documentation.
